The Place Free Shop was founded in 1993 in Montevideo, Uruguay and acquired by Saint-Honoré in 2011. The group currently operates four duty free stores offering a wide range of products located in cities across the border between Uruguay and Brazil at Chuy, Rivera, Rio Branco and Artigas.
